Women’s Promo run attracts a large number of girls, women
A large group of women in Vijayapura participated in a promotional run wearing traditional sarees to encourage participation in the upcoming Vrikshathon Heritage Run. The event included meditation sessions and fitness training to promote health and environmental awareness.

It was a memorable morning for the residents of Vijayapura. A large number of girls and women participated in the Women’s Promo run through a route that passed before historical monuments like the Gol Gumbaz. They wore ethnic and traditional dresses. Most of them ran in sarees.
It was organised as a run-up to the Vrikshathon Heritage Run scheduled for December 13.

Ranjitha K.R, professor, and Savita Kallur, dentist, flagged off the event in front of the Gagan Mahal. The participants ran till the Gol Gumbaz and reached Gagan Mahal.
They raised slogans like ‘If she runs, the path becomes wider’ and ‘The step she takes is a message about environment protection’, etc. Students from various colleges and universities, employees and others participated, as volunteers distributed energy drinks and sweets.
