Women dominate voter deletions in five Old City constituencies in Hyderabad: report
A report by the SABAR Institute indicates that women represent nearly half of the electors deleted from voter rolls in Hyderabad, with particularly high concentrations in AIMIM-represented constituencies. The analysis suggests that while permanent shifting is the primary reason for deletions, the gender distribution warrants further scrutiny.

Women accounted for 47.8% of the 19,41,444 electors deleted in Hyderabad in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. The highest shares of women among deleted electors were recorded in five Assembly segments of the Hyderabad parliamentary constituency.
A preliminary analysis of official SIR data from 15 Assembly constituencies by the SABAR Institute found that Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta, Karwan, Yakutpura and Malakpet recorded the highest shares of women among deleted electors. The sixth constituency, Nampally, is part of the Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency. All six are represented by the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).
