Woman smuggled cannabis into UK in exchange for free holiday
A 27-year-old woman from Warrington has been sentenced after attempting to smuggle 35 kilograms of cannabis into the UK from Thailand. She claimed she was offered a free holiday in exchange for transporting the suitcases, which she allegedly did not know contained drugs.

Shannon Bragg, from Latchford, appeared before Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to the importation of cannabis.
Prosecuting, Simon Barrett told the court that the 27-year-old landed at Manchester Airport on June 2 after flying from Bangkok.
When Bragg was stopped by border control officers , she was questioned and told them that she had been in Thailand for three weeks and had not checked in any luggage.
