A woman was killed and several others injured when a KSRTC bus veered off the Nelliyampathy ghat road and fell into a depth in Palakkad district, Kerala, on Monday morning.
The accident occurred around 9.30 a.m. when the bus travelling from Nelliyampathy to Nenmara skidded at a curve near Pothundy Dam and fell into a teak plantation below. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle on the rain-soaked road.
The deceased was identified as Jayanti, 55, wife of Swami. She was a resident of Pulayanpara. Her body was shifted to the Government District Hospital at Palakkad.
