Woman killed, friend critically injured after water tanker rams scooter in Gachibowli

A 23-year-old woman was killed and her friend critically injured after a water tanker struck their scooter near the Gachibowli flyover in Hyderabad. Police have registered a case against the driver for rash and negligent driving.

A 23-year-old woman was killed and her friend sustained grievous injuries after a water tanker rammed the scooter they were travelling on near the Gachibowli flyover late on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Mallam Bhavani, 23, who worked as a salesgirl at a clothing outlet and was residing at a women’s hostel in Indiranagar, Gachibowli. Her friend, S. Subhashini, 30, a resident of Laxmi Hostel in Anjaiah Nagar, sustained grievous injuries in the collision and is currently undergoing treatment.
According to the Gachibowli police, the accident was reported at around 11.20 p.m. on July 9 near the starting point of the Gachibowli flyover when the two women were travelling from IIIT towards Anjaiah Nagar.
