A 34-year-old woman was taken into custody after she drowned her nine-month-old daughter in Bairamalguda Lake on Sunday evening.
According to the police, the accused, Lokasani Rajeshwari, a homemaker from Injapur in Rangareddy district and a native of Bidar district in Karnataka, allegedly drowned her daughter, Anuradha, at around 6.30 p.m.
The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
