Woman hacked to death by husband, his brother near Rajapalayam
A 35-year-old woman was murdered by her husband and brother-in-law following a long-standing domestic dispute near Rajapalayam. The accused have surrendered to the police, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.

In a shocking incident, a woman, Selvarani (35) of Chokkanathanputhur was hacked to death by her husband, M. Boomiraja and his brother Ayyappan following a domestic quarrel, under Seithur police station limits on Tuesday night.
The police said that the couple were married for 15 years. But, the woman, a mother of two girl children, left the husband owing to his extra-marital affairs.
Meanwhile, Boomiraja’s family members had quarrelled on September 2 with the deceased woman to start her life afresh with her husband. Following this, the woman lodged a complaint with Seithur police.
Even as the police were enquiring the case, two days back the accused brothers had again picked a quarrel with Selvarani and her mother and threatened them with dire consequences.
When Selvarani and her mother were riding on a bike near Kamarajar Nagar, the accused waylaid them at around 8.45 p.m.
