A 40-year-old woman was found murdered near an agricultural field at Thottareddykuppam village in Tiruvallur on Friday morning.
On receiving information, an Uthukottai police team, led by Inspector Devaraj, rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to the Tiruvallur Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The deceased have been identified as Aruna, 40, of Savarampakkam village in Andhra Pradesh. The police seized a mobile phone found near her body.
