A 24-year-old woman was found dead in a river near Payannur on Tuesday (October 13). The deceased was a native of Edat who worked at a mall in Payyanur.
The body was recovered from near Thanal Eco Park at Perumba around 11.15 a.m. on Tuesday following a search conducted by the Payyanur Fire and Rescue Services with the assistance of a scuba team.
The woman had gone missing after reportedly visiting a counselling centre on Monday (October 12). When she failed to return home by night, her relatives lodged a complaint with the Payyanur police.
