A 56-year-old woman died after sustaining injuries from a wild boar attack near her residence at Ariyandhal Poonga Nagar in Paramakudi taluk on Tuesday night.
According to police, when M. Kalimuthu went to a field locate near her house to answer the call of nature around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a wild boar suddenly charged at her, inflicting deep cuts on her left thigh and knee.
Due to severe blood loss from the attack, she succumbed to her injuries and was found dead later.
