A woman was allegedly attacked by a family in broad daylight in public at Machilipatnam in Krishna district on Friday.
According to sources, Srinivas, a labourer, married Anjali, a few years ago. Later, he married another woman and was living separately with both of them. Anjali, who developed a grudge against Srinivas’s second wife, allegedly beat her in full public view and humiliated her.
As the victim suffered severe injuries, the locals shifted her to a hospital. The Chilakalapudi police launched an investigation.
