Woman arrested for drugs worth N$2.2m at Goreagab
A 38-year-old Namibian woman was arrested in Windhoek after police seized cannabis and Mandrax tablets valued at over N$2.2 million. The drugs, totaling more than 10kg of cannabis and 17,000 Mandrax tablets, were discovered during a police search at Goreagab. She faces charges under the Abuse of Dependency-Producing Substances and Rehabilitation Centres Act, as well as the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.

A Namibian woman (38) has been arrested after police seized cannabis and Mandrax tablets worth more than N$2.2 million at Goreagab, Windhoek, on Saturday.
National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi says the drugs were seized during a police search.
”About 10 215 grams of suspected cannabis and 17 717 suspected Mandrax tablets,” Shikwambi says.
