Woman, 2 children dead after serious collision near Foam Lake, Sask.

A fatal vehicle collision near Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, resulted in the deaths of a woman and two children. A South Carolina man has been arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and bodily harm.

On Friday afternoon, a truck was attempting to pass a semi and collided with an SUV on a grid road about nine kilometres west of Foam Lake, RCMP said in a Saturday news release. Foam Lake is about 150 kilometres northeast of Regina.
A 40-year old woman, an eight-year old girl and a five-year old girl, all from Foam Lake, were in the SUV and were declared dead at the scene by EMS.
An adult man was also in the SUV and was taken to hospital by STARS with serious injuries, the release said.
