Taylor Swift will have a major role at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, with the singer set to debut the music video for her new single Patient Zero during Sunday's ceremony in Los Angeles. The MTV Video Music Awards are set for September 27, with the ceremony airing live on CBS from 19:30 ET/16:30 PT, and the show will also simulcast on MTV and stream on Paramount+. Snoop Dogg will host the ceremony for the first time, while Madonna is scheduled to open the show with her first live VMAs performance in 23 years. The lineup also includes LISA, GENER8ION, RAYE, Shaboozey, Gunna, Sienna Spiro and Yung Lean. The ceremony will also feature several major tributes. Kacey Musgraves will perform in a special tribute to Dolly Parton, while RAYE, Sombr and Teddy Swims will come together to honor George Michael. Nirvana will receive the Video Vanguard Award.
