Wildlife photography exhibition opens at Hawa Mahal in Visakhapatnam

The WildVizag 2.0 wildlife photography exhibition has opened at Hawa Mahal in Visakhapatnam to mark World Wildlife Week. The event showcases biodiversity through photography and provides educational resources on forest conservation.
Why it matters
Public exhibitions serve as educational platforms to connect citizens with local wildlife and conservation efforts.
Nearly 150 photographs showcasing India’s rich wildlife and biodiversity, from tigers in their forest strongholds to the diverse landscapes across the country, are drawing visitors to Hawa Mahal on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam.
The exhibition, WildVizag 2.0, was inaugurated on Saturday as part of World Wildlife Week 2026. Ravindra Dhama, Divisional Forest Officer, Visakhapatnam, formally opened the exhibition as the chief guest. Bobbili MLA Swethakumar Rangarao Bobbili attended as the special guest. Members of the Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR) team were also present.
The exhibition features the work of 25 wildlife photographers, with photographs from four States highlighting India’s biodiversity, landscapes and wildlife. It also seeks to create awareness about the forests and wildlife of Andhra Pradesh.
