Wildlife conservation programmes were organised at Samata Degree College in MVP Colony as part of Wildlife Week on Monday.

Speaking at the programme, Green Climate Team NGO founder secretary J.V. Ratnam urged people to protect all forms of life, saying the extinction of any species was a loss to humanity.

He called for a forest to be planted on every 10 acres in every village and stressed the need to protect species beneficial to agriculture.
