Wild gaur attacks motorist in Keralam’s Kozhikode

A scooter rider was injured after a wild gaur attacked him at Vattakkayam, near Peruvannamuzhi, early on Thursday (September 10, 2026), days after a man was killed in a similar incident at Vilangad in Kozhikode district of Kerala.
Kankapalli Aju was travelling along the Vattakkayam route when the gaur suddenly charged at him. He was thrown onto the road and suffered injuries. His scooter was also damaged in the attack. Local residents and passers-by took him to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
