On Thursday, August 20, 2026, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, ordered the removal of about 30 buildings along the Ring Road 3 corridor linking Karsana, Gwarinpa and Kubwa.
This was three days after the Acting Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Richard Dauda, told Wike that the structures were encroaching on the Right of Way reserved for the road project.
