Zimbabwean businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo has turned heads once again after announcing he will give every Junior Parliamentarian in Zimbabwe US$1,500 (roughly KSh 194,000) out of his own pocket.

Chivayo was unambiguous about what prompted the gesture. He pointed to the remarkable poise the young participants displayed, praising their confidence, eloquence, intelligence and maturity as qualities that convinced him these were Zimbabwe's future leaders in the making.
