Why wired earphones never left

Are wired earphones going back to chic now?Anyone who has ever owned a pair remembers the sheer physical extremes they put us through. Those wires could be a literal miracle — catching a falling phone mid-air and saving it inches before disaster — or a complete hazard when caught by a stray doorknob, sending your device flying yards across the room. There really was nothing in between. And then there was the exhausting ritual of digging into your pocket and spending painstaking minutes untangling a chaotic bundle of wires just to listen to a single track. For a long time, the numbers suggested we had gladly left those headaches behind. Market research firm Circana noted that nearly a decade ago Bluetooth headphones officially overtook wired devices to become the dominant connection type in the market, capturing 54 percent of total stereo headphone dollar sales by July 2016.
