In the past 10 years, the Malaysian dining landscape has undergone a metamorphosis of sorts, coming into its own and gaining maturity. This ecosystem has largely been fuelled by a number of factors: the growth of talented local chefs who have set up interesting restaurants; the introduction of the Michelin Guide in KL and Penang in 2022; and the increasing saturation of regional dining markets like Bangkok and Singapore.
