MARRIAGE has always been Hlulani Ngobeni’s dream, so he didn’t think twice when the opportunity came to marry a complete stranger on Married at First Sight Mzansi.
The 28-year-old Hlulani, who was matched with Nompumelelo Sobopha (24) on the hit Mzansi Magic show, said he joined the social experiment because he has always believed in love and lifelong commitment.
“I’ve always believed in marriage. To me, marriage is about love, commitment and building a life together. I felt ready for that kind of lifelong commitment,” he said.
Hlulani said growing up in a home where his parents loved and supported each other inspired him to one day build the same kind of marriage.
Although marrying someone he had never met was a huge leap of faith, he said the show’s thorough selection process gave him confidence.
