TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Bali office of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded a surge in French arrivals in the island throughout August 2026, overtaking tourist arrivals from India. "France saw a 20.42 percent surge with 41,937 visits," said Agus Gede Hendrayana Hermawan, Head of BPS Bali, in Denpasar on Thursday.According to Agus Gede, the spike, which changed the pattern of the top three visiting countries, was driven by summer holidays in Europe.
