NEW DELHI: Union minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday slammed Lok Sabha leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi for "politicising" the killing of Manipuri musician C Vikram Singh in Delhi, saying that the focus should be on immediate action.While talking to reporters, Rijiju said that Rahul should not bring BJP into the issue and said that Delhi Police takes immediate action whenever an incident involving people from the North East occurs."This is not the time for politics. I keep asking why Rahul Gandhi brings the BJP into this? When an incident occurs—a tragedy resulting in someone's death—the focus should be on immediate action. This is not a matter for politics," Rijiju said."The North East Special Police Cell established within the Delhi Police remains in constant contact, ensuring immediate action in the event of any incident.
