'Why are kids riding like this?' Teens seen riding bicycles across Somerset Road without helmets
A group of teenagers in Singapore was filmed riding fixed-gear bicycles without helmets or proper brakes on a busy road. The incident has sparked public concern regarding road safety and calls for stricter enforcement by local authorities.

Despite continued and routine enforcement actions taken by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Traffic Police (TP) against errant cyclists, a group of teens does not seem to have taken heed.
A video posted by Facebook user Lik Wee shows a group of four teen cyclists riding across Somerset Road, next to Orchard Gateway, without helmets.
"Why are kids riding like this?" the user asks in his video.
The incident allegedly took place on Sunday (Sept 20) evening.
There is a fifth cyclist seen in the video wearing a different coloured shirt, but it is unclear if he is part of the group, or merely passing by.
Based on the video, they appear to be riding fixed-gear bicycles, commonly referred to as fixies. It is unclear if the bicycles had brakes.
