WHO polio team reaches rural areas of Shikarpur

SUKKUR - The World Health Organisation (WHO) polio team on Monday visited remote villages near Wazirabad in Shikarpur district to ensure that children living in mud houses and makeshift shelters receive polio vaccination and that their parents were properly informed about the importance of immunisation.
The vaccination teams, led by Dr Charles, Dr Muhammad and Dr Sandeep Kumar, alongwith Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur Shakil Ahmed Abro, visited various rural areas and went door to door to reach children in underserved areas. During the visit, the teams met parents and inquired about the vaccination status of their children.
