NEW DELHI: Indian discus thrower Seema Kaliramna won bronze medal in the women's discus throw at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow. She secured third place with a best throw of 58.65m.Seema had only two valid throws in six attempts. After starting with a foul, Seema reached 57.32m and then threw to 58.65 before ending her campaign with three foul throws. But the 58.65m was enough to earn her a bronze medal.Jamaica's Samantha Hall claimed the gold medal with a Games-leading throw of 61.66m, while Canada's Julia Tunks won silver with 60.67m. Who is Seema Kaliramna?Seema is one of India's top discus throwers from Haryana. Along with being an athlete, she is also pursuing a PhD in Physical Education at Chaudhary Bansi Lal University (CBLU) in Bhiwani.Her father, a former basketball player and javelin thrower in the Indian Army, introduced her to sports at a young age.
