Riga residents in several districts will face a temporary hot water shutdown today due to annual hydraulic heating network tests. The utility company, Rīgas siltums, is conducting these inspections to identify and repair potential pipeline weaknesses before winter.

Today, hydraulic tests of the heating networks will take place on the right bank of the Daugava in Riga. During the work, residents of a large number of areas will have to do without hot water.
The shutdown will affect Old Riga, the city center, Kengarags, Daugavgriva, Dreilini, Plavnieki, Purvciems, Mezciems, Teika, Jugla, Chiekurkalns, Sarkandaugava, Mezaparks, Grizinkalns, Brasas, Latgale Suburb, Avoti, Rumbula, Shkirotava, Skans, Zakyusala, Petersala, and Andrejsala.
