The studio said in a statement to TMZ , “We have recently been made aware of allegations concerning Jim Thornton. He has been suspended from Wheel of Fortune and we are recasting while we conduct a thorough investigation.”
While a reason for the suspension wasn’t given, TMZ reports there was an alleged incident involving Thornton on a commercial flight in May.
TMZ, citing sources, reports the pilot called ahead to have law enforcement meet Thornton at the gate.
