The app is testing push notifications that alert users to draft messages they had not yet sent, discovered on WhatsApp for Android Beta Version 2.26.35.2 by WABetaInfo.

This process involves the following: If someone types in the chat, fails to send the message, and changes apps, WhatsApp will wait for approximately one minute before sending a notification called "Your draft" to the name of the contact in the ongoing chat. When clicked, the user is redirected right into the chat.
