'What's his mistake?': Ex-India star wants India to make one big change
Former cricketer Aakash Chopra has suggested that India should include Prabhsimran Singh in the playing XI for the final T20I against Zimbabwe. He argues that the series is already won and that young players should be given opportunities to prove themselves.
Why it matters
This reflects the ongoing debate in Indian cricket regarding squad rotation and the development of emerging talent in international formats.
NEW DELHI: Former India batter Aakash Chopra believes India should give Prabhsimran Singh a chance in the third and final T20I against Zimbabwe after already sealing the series. India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead with convincing wins in the first two matches. The final game will be played in Harare on Sunday.Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra questioned why Prabhsimran has not been given an opportunity."I am thinking of playing Prabh (Prabhsimran Singh) as well. What's his mistake? You have selected Prabhsimran Singh, and we have no idea whatsoever when you would select him again. You have won the series," Chopra said.Chopra said India should continue backing Abhishek Sharma despite his poor scores in the first two matches. Instead, he suggested giving Ishan Kishan a break and bringing Prabhsimran into the playing XI.
