What's happening in Kamloops and why so many people are angry

Just days before Truth and Reconciliation Day in Canada, tensions are boiling over in Kamloops, B.C.

A group that is being referred to as “white nationalists” showed up in T k’emlúps te Secwépemc land in Kamloops. The group is believed to be Second Sons.

On Instagram, the group describes itself as a “ Canadian Men’s Nationalist Club. ”

The group showed up in white masks, with some holding a sign that reads, “Got Bones?”

The sign is a reference to their belief that there were no residential school graves in Kamloops, which was widely reported back in 2021 .

Journalist Brandi Morin shared a video of the group assembling on X.
