If concluded, the India-US trade agreement would contribute to "better" bilateral ties, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said, while acknowledging that negotiations had taken longer than initially expected due to complex ground realities. He, however, noted that New Delhi and Washington are at a stage in talks where "there is more or less an understanding on the trade agreement".The minister, who was in New York for the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, made the remarks during an event hosted by the Asia Society. "Well, I think if I stand back and look at the relationship...
