Sports talk host Craig Carton first reported on WFAN on Thursday that the league had looked into it.
While the Yankees walloped the Red Sox to complete the sweep, plenty of baseball fans noticed what appeared to be a strange substance on Gray’s neck when he was on the mound, raising plenty of questions.
Gray appeared to touch it at various times while on the mound, and baseball fans were quick to point out the discoloration on the right side of his neck.
