What Kenya is doing in the fight against mpox, dengue and measles

Kenya has intensified key public health interventions to combat viral threats including Mpox, Dengue, and Measles, according to information from the Ministry of Interior.

Where cases are reported, official measures are active to manage disease transmission. For Mpox, health authorities are testing suspected cases and providing routine case management.

Dengue mitigation efforts focus on testing, treatment, surveillance, and expanding community awareness, while the strategy against Measles centers on active case search, targeted treatment, and continuous surveillance. Additionally, the national response system for Ebola has been activated.

To strengthen medical readiness across the country, healthcare workers are undergoing specialised training and simulation exercises.
