Gurugram's administration has asked offices to allow work-from-home (WFH) and schools to teach online mode after heavy rain today overwhelmed the city's infrastructure yet again.Though it rained for only an hour, residents of the 'Millenium City' - known for its high-end flats, big malls and offices - have complained that the collapse of civic infrastructure keeps repeating every time it rains for a slightly longer duration.The district administration said Gurugram received 70 mm of rainfall by 1.30 pm. Key areas including Rajiv Chowk, IFFCO Chowk, Railway Road, Sector 5, Old Delhi Road, Mehrauli Road and Basai Road were some of the most affected.Visuals of motorists abandoning their vehicles after getting stuck on flooded roads have been shared widely on social media.
