The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast that rainfall would continue over isolated places of north Tamil Nadu and the Western Ghats region till Monday. During the past 24 hours ending 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, various places across the State received moderate to heavy rainfall, providing a much-needed break from a dry spell. Kodavasal in Tiruvarur district received 7 cm, the highest volume recorded in the State for the day.
