Westpac investigates after outage leaves businesses unable to make PAYE payments

Inland Revenue says any Westpac customers who were not able to make tax payments this week because of a bank outage may not be charged penalties.

Westpac has been suffering an outage in its Westpac One Business platform.

Taxpayers Union spokesperson Jordan Williams said he was told some of the bank's business customers had not been able to make their PAYE payments because of errors on the site.
