Drone strikes hit Werqamba, where TPLF officials were reportedly located.

The Ethiopian National Defense Force reportedly carried out drone strikes in Werqamba in Central Tigray, targeting an area where senior TPLF officials were believed to be located following their withdrawal from Mekelle.

The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project ( ACLED ) reported that the strikes took place on October 5 in Werqamba, in Tigray’s Central Zone.

According to ACLED, most TPLF officials were believed to be hiding in the area when the strikes were carried out.

ACLED did not identify individual TPLF officials believed to have been present, and no casualties from the Werqamba strikes were specified in its public alert.
