Wellness clinic owner arrested again for alleged sexual assault

The owner of a wellness clinic and fitness centre in Payyanur was arrested again on charges of attempting to sexually assault a woman who had approached the facility for physiotherapy. He was produced before the First Class Judicial Magistrate Court at Taliparamaba and remanded in judicial custody.

Sharath Nambiar, 44, owner of the clinic, was arrested following a complaint by the 34-year-old woman who hails from Kasaragod.

The woman had reportedly visited the facility for treatment in October and November 2024. She alleged that the incident occurred when she revisited the clinic in March 2025.
