Welfare distributed to 43 beneficiaries in Nagapattinam

Welfare assistance worth ₹13.91 lakh was distributed to 43 beneficiaries at a camp organised by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department at Vawalady village in Thirumarugal block here on Wednesday.

Collector K.J. Praveen Kumar and Nagapattinam MLA M.H. Jawahirullah distributed the assistance.

Mr. Praveen Kumar said 1,910 acres had been covered under the Chief Minister’s Kuruvai Cultivation Special Package Scheme in the district with ₹1 crore allocated for the purpose. So far, ₹1,00,07,820 had been disbursed as incentive to 1,420 farmers.
