Welfare assistance worth ₹2.37 crore disbursed

Government ministers in India have disbursed ₹2.37 crore in welfare assistance to 241 beneficiaries, with plans for further support for the physically challenged and infrastructure improvements. Additional funding has been allocated for religious site construction and pilgrimage programs.

Minister for Environment and Climate Change V.K. Rajeev disbursed welfare assistance to the tune of ₹2.37 crore to 241 beneficiaries here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajeev said the officials had been instructed to process the applications for medical and educational assistances at the earliest. A special camp would soon be organised for helping the physically challenged for giving them identity cards and other assistances.
While the villages that did not have proper bus connectivity would be given bus service immediately, bad roads would be re-laid within the next few months, the Minister said.
Along with Minister for Minorities Welfare A.M. Shahjahan, Mr. Rajeev disbursed assistances worth ₹11.74 lakh to 229 beneficiaries.
