Weekly special train between Chennai and Mangaluru

Southern Railway is introducing two round-trip festival special trains between Chennai and Mangaluru to manage increased passenger demand. The service will operate on specific dates in late August with a variety of coach classes.

The Southern Railway will operate two round trips of a festival special train (on-demand service) between Dr. MGR Chennai Central and Mangaluru Junction stations to clear the extra passenger rush.
A release from Southern Railway here said that Train No. 06127 Dr. MGR Chennai Central–Mangaluru Jn. Weekly Express Special would leave Chennai Central at 11.50 p.m. on August 21 and 28 (Fridays) to reach Mangaluru Jn. at 5 p.m. the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 06128 Mangaluru Jn.–Dr. MGR Chennai Central Weekly Express Special would leave Mangaluru Jn at 7.15 p.m. on August 22 and 29 (Saturdays) to reach Chennai Central at 11.35 a.m. the next day.
