Weekend of mixed UK weather with sunshine before showers arrive for some on Sunday
The UK is expecting a weekend of mixed weather, with warm sunshine in some areas followed by rain and wind arriving on Sunday. A low-pressure system from the Atlantic is expected to bring more unsettled conditions into the following week.

This potential storm may also bring heavy rain to places, especially in the west, whilst some places further east could stay dry.
Many drought affected parts of England and Wales - where significant rainfall is still needed - may stay largely dry throughout the next week.
Before the arrival of wind and rain, though, some bursts of warmth will lift temperatures above average, possibly reaching the low-20s Celsius at times in south-east England.
