Buddhi Clinic and The Hindu will host a webinar, “Alzheimer’s Dementia: The Promise of Brain Stimulation,” on September 20 at 11.30 a.m. as part of events organised to observe World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21.

For decades, patients and families living with dementia were often told that treatment could largely focus on managing symptoms. Today, however, earlier diagnosis, advances in disease-modifying therapies, rehabilitation, lifestyle interventions and emerging approaches to brain stimulation are opening up new possibilities in dementia care.

At the heart of the discussion is an important question: Can stimulating the brain help preserve cognitive function and change the way Alzheimer’s disease is managed?
