'We wrote the policy' - Winston Peters denies copying campaign group's health policies

New Zealand First leader Winston Peters insists his party wrote its own health policy, which appears nearly identical to content on a campaign group's website.

The group is called Make New Zealand Healthy, which is also the title of New Zealand First's policy .

Peters said New Zealand First had been working with them for years, and was the only party that listened to them.

"We agreed substantially [with] a lot of their policies, but we spent a lot of time studying other countries' as well, and it's in our foundation principles, 33 years ago," he said.
