PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional hopes to give Aminuddin Harun a fierce contest in Linggi, which the Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan chairman is set to vie for in the Aug 1 state election.
BN deputy chairman Mohamad Hasan, also known as Tok Mat, said the coalition will fight Aminuddin “to the end” for the state seat deemed an Umno stronghold.
“He wants to go to Linggi, we’ll go after him,” he said at the unveiling of BN’s candidates for the state polls tonight.
Yesterday, PH chairman Anwar Ibrahim announced that Aminuddin will contest in the Umno stronghold of Linggi instead of seeking a fifth term as Sikamat assemblyman in the state election.
