ZANZIBAR: MEMBER of Parliament for Wawi Constituency in South Pemba, Mr Khamis Kassim Ali, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving residents' livelihoods through an economic empowerment programme worth about 280m/-.
Speaking to journalists, Mr Ali said the initiative involves distributing working tools and equipment to entrepreneurs, garage mechanics, women and youths to improve productivity and incomes.
He said the programme fulfils a campaign pledge he made before the 2025 General Election.
