Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stands at 121.95 feet

The water levels in the Mullaperiyar and Vaigai dams remain within safe limits, with current storage and discharge rates reported. Rainfall data for the surrounding regions was also provided for the 24-hour period ending Tuesday.

Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 121.95 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 919 cusecs and a discharge of 800 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 36.42 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 198 cusecs and a discharge of 86 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 3,645.04 mcft.
