Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 117.05 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 194 cusecs and a discharge of 400 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 41.77 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 112 cusecs and a discharge of 86 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 3,100.63 mcft.
Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Wednesday was (in mm): Kodaikanal 58.2, Marudhanidhi dam 27.2, Sothupparai dam 4 and Elumalai 3.2.
